ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN


An established electronic manufacturer situated in Pretoria, Silverton area is looking for an experienced Electronic Technician to join their team.
Salary:
R20 000.00 – R25 000.00 CTC monthly


Responsibilities:
Setting up, building and maintaining of various test jigs as per ATP and instruction from Superior.
Interpret documentation i.e. ATP’s, Result sheet’s, parts list, assy documentation, ECP’s, etc.
Train operators and assistant technicians for products to be tested.

Electrical functional testing and fault localising to schematic drawings and specifications as per ATP (Production and After Sales).
Overseeing production testing by Assistant Technicians and Test Operators.
Status reporting, keep accurate records of Pass/Fail rate, record faults found and report as per instruction from Superior.
Highlight/inform department Superior about encountered or foreseeable problems


Read write technical reports, documents and procedures.
Liaise with clients/engineers regarding technical support.
Responsible for projects as per instruction from superior i.e. ensure that schedules and target dates are met.
When receiving of technical information from client/engineer to do a set-up or how to test his product, all information must be captured and processed to conform to the company’s standard and procedures.


All test personnel will clean up after the completion of the production run of a specific product before starting with the next product. This means give back all documentation to configuration; take the instruments and jigs used back to the store room, etc. The operator will assist the technician in this regard.
Requirements:
The person must be computer literate.
Must follow departmental procedures.
Fluent in English
Qualifications:

National Diploma in Electronic Engineering or B Tech Degree in Electrical Engineering
