INTRODUCTION
The role is responsible for assisting the Senior Compliance Manager in driving the company’s compliance strategy and delivering an effective compliance programme across all jurisdictions in which the company operates.
The key component of this role entails taking responsibility for implementation of a compliance management process across all Rest of Africa (“RoA”) operating geographies.

Job requirements & Experience

3 – 5 years working experience within Legal/Compliance/Risk arena
Good knowledge of compliance frameworks
Africa Compliance experience will be an advantage
Membership with CISA will be an advantage
Post Graduate Degree in Compliance Management will be an advantage
Relevant Legal degree

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Create and maintain an effective compliance presence across our operating geographies and to ensure that any incidents of non-compliance can be identified in a timely manner
Providing a central point of reference and expertise in compliance related matters.
Develop and maintain the RoA Regulatory Universes
Foster and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities
Monitor any major complaints received, to ensure that these are handled in an expedient and professional manner
Drafting compliance risk management plans for all key legislation to assist the relevant responsible persons to understand the legislation to enable them to fulfil their responsibilities and to monitor compliance.
Designing, creating and updating the compliance risk assessments.
Design, create and maintain compliance related registers.


Design and implement an appropriate compliance assurance approach for the RoA
Draft formal compliance reports for the applicable Board(s) and also regular informal reports to the business unit heads on any compliance issue
Assist in the development and execution of an appropriate Compliance training plan.
Provide guidance and compliance support to the Store compliance team.
