The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety invites suitably qualified South African youth to apply for the Traffic Learner Officer Learnership Programme 2025.

This 12-month programme offers an opportunity to gain valuable skills and qualifications in traffic law enforcement.

Location: Across districts in Limpopo Province, South Africa

Learnership Details
Post: Traffic Learner Officer (x154 posts)
Stipend: R67 675.56 per annum

Post Distribution:

  • Capricorn District: 31 posts
  • Sekhukhune District: 33 posts
  • Mopani District: 32 posts
  • Vhembe District: 31 posts
  • Waterberg District: 27 posts


Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:

  • Have a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
  • Be aged between 18 and 35 years
  • Hold a valid Code B driving licence (manual transmission)
  • Have no criminal record
  • Have no visible tattoos contrary to professional conduct
  • Submit a medical certificate proving fitness for strenuous exercise
  • Not be declared unfit to possess a firearm (Firearm Control Act, 2000)
  • Be prepared to work shifts (24/7, including weekends and public holidays)
  • Be a South African citizen with valid proof of ID

Skills Required

  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
