Minimum Entry Requirements

General Requirements:

  • South African citizen with a valid ID.
  • Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science (compulsory for all fields).
  • Computer literacy (basic level).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid Code B/EB driver’s licence.
  • Certified medically fit under the Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996.

Trade-Specific Requirements:

  • Instrumentation Mechanician – Grade 12 with Maths & Science; Instrumentation Mechanician Engineering background.
  • Plater/Welder – Grade 12 with Maths & Science plus Plater/Welder Engineering N2 certificate.
  • Fitter – Grade 12 with Maths & Science plus Fitter Engineering N2 certificate.
  • Electrician – Grade 12 with Maths & Science plus Electrical Engineering N2 certificate.
  • Millwright – Grade 12 with Maths & Science plus Electrical & Fitter Engineering N2 certificate.

Preference will be given to candidates from the Gamagara and John Taolo Gaetsewe Municipal Areas in the Northern Cape.
