Start your journey toward becoming a qualified Phlebotomy Technician with our 24-month, HPCSA-accredited training programme. Our programmes combine structured online learning with real-world clinical experience at Ampath Care Centers.
You’ll gain vital skills in blood collection, laboratory procedures, and patient care while training in a high-demand, professional environment.
Programme information:
- Training begins in late January 2026
- Training locations include Centurion (Gauteng) and Westridge (Durban, KZN)
- You’ll benefit from blended learning (Monday to Friday), combining online classes and in-person training, guided by experienced professionals.
- Upon successful completion, you’ll be eligible for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Phlebotomy Technician.
Both programme options provide practical exposure, recognized qualifications, and a gateway to a rewarding healthcare career.
Application information:
- You will be required to complete a form, skills test and video interview as part of the application process.
- Please prepare to upload the following documents on the form:
- Certified copy of your ID/Passport
- Valid VISA (if not a South African citizen) – only applicable for private-funded applicants
- Certified copy of your matric certificate
- Your updated CV
- Please ensure that you have access to a calculator for the skills test.
- Make sure you are in a well-lit location with no distractions for the video interview.
- A confirmation email will only be sent after completion of the video interview. Candidates who do not complete the entire process will not be considered for the position
